When it comes to the starting point of the Christian faith, the biggest question we need to answer is “Who is Jesus?” Was he more than a gifted teacher? Was he more than a prophet, or miracle maker? Christians believe that Jesus was more than a gifted teacher, prophet and miracle maker. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that he alone can restore our relationship with God.
So, how can we be sure that Jesus is who he says he is? How can we know that he is the Savior that provides the answers to the things in our life that are hard to believe or difficult to believe? We can know because Jesus died on the cross and resurrected himself three days later. The resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. It is foundational to proving that Jesus is who he claims to be and that he is worthy of our hope in him.
When it comes to the resurrection though, some of us are skeptical. Some of us are cynics and some of us are blind believers. No matter where you are with your belief in the resurrection, it may be time for you to become a seeker.
Here are a few resources that can help you learn more about the resurrection:

“The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach” by Michael Licona
“The Resurrection of the Son of God” by N.T. Wright.
Ben Snyder looks at the evidence behind the Easter story and explains why that gives us confidence that we truly matter.
